Hi.

Welcome to my blog.. Hope you have a nice stay!

Christmas 2016

Christmas 2016

Just like that Christmas is done! It all happens in the blink of an eye. It is safe to say, holidays are way more fun when kids are involved. Especially now that Jack understands it [aka you can threaten them with taking presents away and telling them the Elf is watching]. One of the best parts was Jack telling me if he hears his sleigh land or Santa saying "HO HO HO!" that he would get out of bed and look out the window for him. The joy in his eyes was so adorable!

The day before Christmas Eve we celebrated our [Kids + Steve/I] family Christmas. We made a nice dinner then let the kids open their presents from all of us. We would then wait for Santa to bring his presents and stockings on Christmas morning.

Christmas Eve Day we had Steve's family down for brunch and presents. During  nap time we obviously set up some of the toys ;) That night we swung by my parents house for dinner then got the kids home so we could leave milk & cookies out for Santa! I won't lie, I think I was just as excited for the morning to come so we could see them come running down the stairs.

Yes my child is wearing the same shirt as yesterday.... it is his "Christmas" shirt.

The morning came and I was [not to patiently] waiting for the kids to wake up while drinking coffee. Finally, they woke up and the fun began! Jack got THE Angry Bird Robot toy he asked for and Savi got a pop up beauty parlor tent. After getting cleaned up, we loaded the kids up and headed to my parents for the morning.

Once we got to my parents house we opened stockings, ate, then opened gifts. Holy [BIG] toys. We hung out and played with some toys before venturing out in the freezing rain again so we could get home for Savi's nap.

With Wells not feeling well [stuffy nose and throwing up the drainage a lot], I kept him home for my mom's side of the family Christmas. I brought the two "bigs" with me and they had a blast. From Savannah chowing down cookies, to watching Jack play the dice game, it was  a good end to the day. Thanks to the dice game [and Jack] I am now a proud owner of a giant yellow sunflower/wreath. I told Jack it stays in his room ;)

Yesterday we finished up the Christmas celebration with my Dad's side of the family and now I will be rushing to put all my Christmas decor away! I love decorating for Christmas but it feels so good to be clutter free once everything is put away.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!! I can't wait to see what 2017 brings. There may be some exciting things brewing over here ;)
