Memorial Weekend

Why must this weekend end?! I absolutely love long weekends, and ones when we can be outside all day.

I started the weekend out heading up north with Mr. Jack. I was actually excited to have some "mother/son" time! Steve and Savi stayed home so Steve could get some studying done for a test he's taking next week. Traffic was rough heading up... Yikes! Jack ended up sleeping for 45 minutes, then chatting every other second we were in the car, which ended up being close to a 3 hour drive [when its usually only 2 hours]. Yes, I did have to stop for a "snack" (aka french fries) to cure some morning sickness that hit hard. First night it was just Jack and I, then my parents joined us the next day. The weather wasn't the best that day, so we hung out, went to eat, and watched movies. 

 Our last day there, we took a windy boat ride, grabbed some lunch, then snuck in some beach time before heading home. The drive back was awesome, no traffic! We ended the night with some ice cream cones and called it a night. I highly suggest any parent to make time to have one-on-one's with each of their kids!!

Memorial Day was AWESOME! The kids and I hit the coffee shop, then Grandmas to let Steve study some more. The weather was so nice we ended up being in the pool from 9:30 am- 2:30 pm. Steve joined us for lunch and the second part of the swim. We headed back home to grill and hang out with some of our neighbors [we actually have THE greatest neighbors!]. We stuffed ourselves with such great food, let the kids run around, and had adult conversations. Thank you again Katie for having us over, so much fun!!!  We ended the day with a bath and some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I am exhausted!! [BUT I don't want the weekend to end :( ] 

First trimester is still rough. Almost out of it, but with both kids my morning sickness lasted until approximately 15 weeks. I’ll do my first pregnancy update later this week!
