Best 3 Ingredient Cookie
I am not going to lie, I am soaking up these “Fall” weather type mornings! They get me in the mood to bake [and almost want to clean ;)]. I decided to pull out a recipe I tried a week or so ago that my husband sent me because we had a ton of old bananas. His company has a health and wellness group that sends tips and information out to the employees, so I decided to try this recipe out. [Bonus is it’s only 3 ingredients!]
Like I said, I have already tried this recipe out and I have picked up a few recommendations for making it.
1. Double the recipe ;). We ate a batch in half of a day. It makes about 12 cookies.
2. Use mini chocolate chips. I don’t know why but the big/normal size chips would fall out of the cookie.
3. A neighbor this morning gave me a great tip for when kids eat them; if you put them in the refrigerator it helps them to not be so gooey and chewy. Trust me...kids love these!
4. Next time I am going to try blending 1/4th of the oats to make a flour. Hopefully that will keep them "together" better.... [Well see!]
This honestly took me about 5 minutes to make and get in the oven. I made them this morning while the kids were eating breakfast. Have fun baking!!
Recipe:
2 Ripe Bananas
1 Cup Oats
½ Cup Chocolate Chips ( I prefer dark)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients in a bowl; I mash bananas up first thought. Lastly, bake for 15 minutes! [It is only around 70 calories a cookie!]
