Aug 30 How To: Extending Your Wardrobe

Happy Tuesday!

I have been extremely frustrated when it comes to “getting ready” these days. I have hit the point where really none of my normal clothes fit and all my maternity clothes are more for the cold weather. My family thinks it’s really funny to comment on how I just wore a certain outfit a few days ago, last week…. Or maybe I’m still wearing it from the day before [oops].

I love my clothes, and I love shopping! However, I do not feel the need to go out and buy a ton of maternity clothes, I feel like at this point it is a waste of money. I have been trying to take staple items I own and create different looks out of them so it doesn’t look like I’m always wearing the same outfit. I won’t lie, I probably own four different types of black maternity dresses [Black is slimming right ;)]. The best thing to do is layer, which of course isn't as easy in the summer. You can use anything from button ups, jackets and sweaters. Other options are switching it up with accessories by trying different types of shoes, hats, scarfs or jewelry with the it.

I just received the CUTEST and most COMFORTABLE dress in the mail the other day. You guys, I want to sleep in it! It also adds a little color to my [very boring colored] wardrobe. You want to know what the best part of this dress is? I can wear it pregnant or not pregnant! It is technically not maternity but SO many people wear it before and through their entire pregnancy. Can you say bang for your buck! This dress makes me feel good and I never want to take it off. Here are some looks I have formed with items I already had in my closet to pair with this amazing [Julia] dress:

I won’t lie, I am pretty conservative when it comes to patterns and colors but I know many people love to make a statement. Okay back to the clothing… you guys you will not regret your purchases. If you have kids, you must check out the kid’s line. My daughter has a few items and I always want to put her in them; they are soft and stylish. Every pattern LulaRoe releases only has 2,500 items in that print so if you see something you like GRAB it! They do not last long people.
