Wells 4 Months
What the?! How is this little man already 4 months? I don’t even remember what life was like without this little man. Steve and I the other day were talking about how we don’t understand what we did with all of our free time prior to kids! We wouldn’t change any of it [we truly love those hyper little buggers of ours], but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss going on a ton of vacations and out to dinner more ;)
Tomorrow I'll pop in with our overall “confession” on how 7 days without TV went…. Lets just say I’m VERY excited for them to be put back in tomorrow!
Here are some little facts about Wells & Mama:
Sleep: They don’t joke about 4-month sleep regression. He was doing SO good and only getting up once between 8 pm & 7 am. Then 4 months hit me like a freight train. It is scattered, so not consistent but he is for sure up now between 2-4 times between that 8 pm- 7 am time frame. Naps are actually not bad. Most tend to be around 1-3 hours. He is still needing assistance falling asleep… AKA I have to rock him for about 5 minutes. Which doesn’t seem bad, but when you have two tornados downstairs screaming, it seems like an eternity. We are going to slowly transition into “cry it out” but I hate that term. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes ;)
Eating: He is a mystery child when it comes to eating. I am still nursing/pumping. At the end of May I am off to Vegas for a friend’s Bachelorette Party, so I wanted to be done nursing by then, but I don’t know if that will be possible [cue the mom judgement]. Wells will NOT take formula. People help! He is fine if the bottle is 25% formula 75% BM. I tried slowly adding more but he won’t drink it. So for now, we continue nonstop pumping. Our doctor said we could start trying rice cereal, but he wasn’t digging it! We will try again another day.
Weight: 15.6 lbs
Mood: Overall, he is a happy baby! Laughing, smiling and starting to coo a lot. You will hear it from him though when he is ready to nap…fussy, fussy man! He gets that from his sister for sure; always needing to go back to bed after only being up for 60-90 minutes. We had our first flight with little man, and he did awesome :)
Mama: Really good! Starting to fully feel like myself and getting back into fitness where I left off. I got back to pre-baby weight pretty quick, but body comp wise…. Ouch, it needs some work ;) I lose so much muscle during pregnancy, even though I worked out the majority of my pregnancy. That’s the name of the game though! Starting at 3 months postpartum the hair loss game came in strong. I am going to try Vital Proteins- Collagen Peptides and see if that helps! A few ladies I follow on IG recommended it J I just started with a new private trainer/coach this month, I can’t wait to see how some change around here does for this mama…. And her body ;)
Cheers + catch up with you all tomorrow!
