Wells 6 Months

Here we are… 6 month update! Even though every day is pure chaos, it sure has flown by. I am going to save “mama’s” update for another post. There are many things I want to touch on for all you mom’s out there going through the postpartum journey. 

I know summer is going to FLY by, so I want to make sure this crazy family of 5 gets out to enjoy it. We will be the family at the pool yelling at Savannah to walk and not jump in if daddy isn’t there, and making sure Jack doesn’t fall in the toy bin again like he did last time [such a sight to see]. My friend’s wedding [which she has a blog coming soon!!! EKK] is tomorrow so I’m off to get ready for rehearsal tonight and a fun day/night with the hubby tomorrow ;)

Here are some little facts about Wells:

Sleep: Going WAY better! Still getting up 1-2 times a night. However, he goes right back to sleep. We transitioned him to the Merlin Suit and it was going great until his obsession with rolling over. We are still using it, but hoping to transition him out of it soon. I tried using just a sleep sack, but wow, that was not okay! Naps are going strong, takes 3-4 a day lasting 1-2 hours each. Bedtime is around 7, so we lay him and Savannah down at the same time. This gives us some quality time with Jack :) 

Eating: We did start solids and he is a champ. He is taking after my other two and eating like he will never eat again. I have been making my own baby food; I can share more on that later. I am still breastfeeding/pumping 60% of the time. I am only pumping if it is absolutely necessary. Wells is starting to take formula a lot better, so this has helped with the weaning process. Not sure when the end result of weaning will take place, but for now we are taking our time.

Weight: Not 100% sure but based on my scale he is at 18.2 lbs

Mood: Such a happy baby!! He loves when his brother talks to him and hates when his sister shakes him in his bouncy toy. He is a big fan of rolling nonstop. Since we are at my parents a lot, he has learned to take naps in their stroller while we hang pool side ;) Just like the rest of us, if he hasn’t had his full sleep, he is grouchy! He is obsessed with his bouncer, and to keep him occupied even long, I turn the iRobot on and he watches it for a good 30 minutes. It is so much fun to hit the stage where his personality is coming out but he isn’t mobile yet! Lord help me when he is on the move…
