Hi.

Wells 2 Months

Wells 2 Months

Month Two.

Our little Wells is 2 months. I will say everyone was right that the transition from two to three kids was not has hard as one to two. I’m not saying it has been super easy but I had myself prepared for the worst! The two bigs are always asking about baby brother. It is usually the first thing they ask when they get up; “Where is Wells?” Wells also got baptized just a week ago and man-o-man was he cute!! ;) [Photos below]

Here are some little facts about Wells & Mama:

Sleep: Going really well [all my kids were good sleepers… so far]. He goes to bed around 8 pm- 9 pm then eats at 2 am & then up again at 7 am. Except last night he only woke up at 4:30 and 7:30 ☺  He usually falls back asleep downstairs with me while I make coffee and the bigs breakfasts. We are not on a nap schedule yet; he is still in the phase where he basically naps all day. He still sleeps in a rock n play with me at night and during the day he is in a nap nanny or the Mamaroo. And yes, I know the nap nanny was recalled, but it has worked awesome for all my kids and I don’t plan on leaving him unattended like the crazies did to make this product recalled.

Eating: He did go a short spurt of not taking a bottle. That was rough. We are all good now and he’s eating like a champ. Many would say he “cluster” feeds throughout the day, about every 2 hours, although he does take one big long nap from noon-3ish. Then of course, at night, he goes a lot longer without needing to eat.

Weight: 12 Lbs.  Officially cleaned out all his newborn clothes [ Sad…]

Mood: Overall he is a pretty calm baby. He is super grunty, Savannah was like that too. He loves to be laying on his back and kicking his feet. We have only had one rough car ride but other than that he loves his car seat. I would say he is getting to be more alert but still a sleepy little guy.

Mama: I am doing great! I was finally cleared to work out and excited about getting this body moving without having to monitor my heartrate. I have been paying more attention to my nutrition as well but I still eat my burgers and fries [balance people!] I started drinking shakes daily; right now just to keep me full between lunch and dinner but soon I’ll start incorporating it into a meal replacement. I want to make sure my milk supply stays good with adding working out into the mix. I am still trying to get the balance down with newborn snuggles, giving attention to the bigs, and the household work.

Two months have come and gone and we are ready to see this little guy form his personality and start interacting more. But no rush little man!
